What is the date and hours of the Silver Spring Maker Faire?
Sunday, September 25, 2016 – 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where is Maker Faire Silver Spring?
Veterans Plaza and the Silver Spring Civic Building – Corner of Fenton and Ellsworth in downtown Silver Spring. Click here for directions.

From Metro: Take the red line to the Silver Spring Metro Station. After
exiting on Wayne Avenue, walk three short blocks north to the intersection
of Wayne and Fenton Street. Turn left on Fenton and the festival will be at the next intersection with Ellsworth Drive.

From 495: Take 495 to Colesville Road South (Exit 30B). After
approximately 1.5 miles turn left onto Spring Street (which becomes Cedar
Street). Turn right onto Ellsworth Drive.  A Montgomery County Parking
Garage is available at no cost on Ellsworth.

Is there free parking nearby?
Yes. There is a county parking lot at 801 Ellsworth Street – immediately across the street from Veterans Plaza and the Silver Spring Civic Building. Entrance is on Ellsworth and Roeder and is free all day on Sunday.

Is public transportation available?
Yes. Take the Metro Red Line to the Silver Spring Metro stop.

Will you have bike parking?
Yes. Unmanned bicycle parking will be available.

Can I bring my dog?
For the safety and well being of our four-legged friends, please leave your pets at home. There are loud noises, many moveable parts, and large crowds, all of which do not create a safe environment for pets.

What if it rains?
The show will go on! Fortunately, we will have many indoor exhibits to keep the family dry.

What can I expect?
To have the time of your life! You’ll be surprised and intrigued at every corner.
